Wire luffing ship cranes - CBB
From compact and versatile ship cranes to heavy lift cranes with a load bearing capacity of up to 1250 tonnes, Liebherr covers the whole spectrum of ship cranes with its wire luffing models.
For its larger crawler cranes with lifting capacities up to 1,350 metric tons, Liebherr also offers a wide range of multifunctional jib systems. These cranes can reach heights of up to 223 m at the hook and working radii of up to 152 m, but retain their outstanding manoeuvrability thanks to innovative solutions for the handling of extremely high ballast weights. The LR series is completed by the hydraulic duty cycle crawler cranes range (HS series), which is similar to the LR series in design. The machines have been developed for the most diverse material handling operations. This series comprises 6 models with load capacities between 35 and 200 metric tons.
Cylinder luffing ship cranes – CBW
The Liebherr CBW-series comprises versatile cylinder luffing ship cranes that are particularly suitable for container handling. The compact design not only makes them flexible and fast but also very space-saving.
The main practical usages are:
The strategic positioning of the driver’s cabin directly under the boom provides an unrestricted view of the deck and the cargo hold for the crane driver. The wide rope field at the hook provides for safe operation and optimal positioning of the cargo. The double-acting hydraulic cylinders support the boom in all positions.
The low construction height of the CBW facilitates high levels of visibility and safety on deck. The low weight as well as the low centre of gravity ensure enhanced ship stability and greater crane capacity. Due to the short minimum radius, it is possible to place the goods in the immediate vicinity of the crane. Since the boom is parked over the load, there is more space for your goods.
Maintenance-free chrome and nickel-coated hydraulic cylinders and robust electronic components facilitate economical and low-maintenance operation.
The CBW ship crane operates without direct influence on the on-board electrical system as return currents are automatically neutralized.
